Travis walton

Travis Walton’s UFO encounter is widely regarded as the most well-documented case of alien contact ever recorded. On November 5, 1975, while working as part of a logging crew in northern Arizona, Travis and his six fellow crew members observed a mysterious bright light in the distance as they left their worksite. Initially believing it might be a forest fire, they were stunned to discover a brightly lit spacecraft hovering near their truck in the remote forest.

Ignoring his coworkers’ urgent warnings, Travis stepped out of the truck and approached the craft. Without warning, a powerful blast of energy struck him, violently throwing him backward. Fearing for their lives and believing Travis had been killed, the crew fled the scene in terror. However, realizing they couldn’t abandon their friend, they soon returned—only to find that Travis had vanished without a trace.

His sudden disappearance triggered a massive search and rescue operation, while law enforcement, skeptical of the UFO story, suspected the crew of foul play. Under intense scrutiny, all six men underwent lie detector tests to prove their innocence—and they all passed.

Five days later, Travis reappeared. Disoriented and deeply shaken, he gradually recalled a harrowing experience aboard an alien craft. A medical examination confirmed that he had no drugs or alcohol in his system, and he later passed his own polygraph test, further validating his account.

Over time, Travis overcame his initial reluctance to speak publicly about his experience. He has since traveled the world, sharing his extraordinary story and confronting skeptics who continue to challenge the event. His encounter was adapted into the 1993 major motion picture, Fire in the Sky, based on his book, The Walton Experience (later expanded and re-released as Fire in the Sky), which clarifies the differences between Hollywood’s dramatization and the actual events.

Today, Travis’s fear has evolved into understanding, offering a profound message for humanity. At the conference, he will present “TRAVIS: The True Story of Travis Walton”, a documentary directed by Jennifer Stein that chronicles his experience, the aftermath, and the evidence supporting the case. Featuring original footage from the 1975 incident, interviews with witnesses and UFO experts, and scientific findings from the site, the film provides a compelling look at one of the most significant UFO encounters in history. A Q&A session with Travis Walton will follow the screening.
